#Pray for Nice / #Pray for France

Nissa La BellaThank you for your prayers for our church, for Nice and for France. There is a great need for comfort and assurance.

We continue to pray for the complete recovery of those wounded in the attacks in Nice and in St Etienne de Rouvray.

We pray the Lord would console the families of the victims.

We also pray for our political leaders, that God give them the wisdom to protect their citizens as much as possible.

Finally, we pray for all of our fellow countrymen, that they might meet the God of love, and that his passionate love for us would ignite our hearts with profound love for one another. Only God’s love can fill us, give us hope and banish fear.

Pray For Nice

pray-for-niceIn the aftermath of the horrific events of July 14th in Nice, in order to bring comfort and healing, we invite you to come up to the Colline du Château in Nice on Sunday, July 17th starting at 11:15 (we will be in the grassy, shaded area between the snack bar and the ruins of the cathedral, across from the play area). Those who wish will be able to share what they experienced and what they are feeling. There will be a time of prayer for healing and comfort as well as a time of thanksgiving , healing music and worship. Rather than living in fear, we need to remember Jesus’ words:
Lc 12:22, 32 “Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life … “Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom”
John 16:33
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
